Merger Information

Due to significant changes in funding provision that we were relying on to deliver the proposed single site, Moatfield Surgery will not be merging with Judges Close surgery. Sadly, without the significant premises development needed to deliver a site that is fit for purpose able to cater for a large, merged Practice, many of the benefits we have described in our business plans and public consultations would not be realised.

After very careful consideration, we are unable to justify the even greater challenges and pressures on our already limited and stretched resources that merging, without the any of the benefits of a single site, would demand.

Both practices will continue to work together to provide a high standard of care for patients and we remain committed to continue to look at new ways of providing  high quality and  flexible services.

We are immensely grateful for the support that our patients have given us towards this project and at both public meetings. We are looking forward to continuing to develop and enhance what we offer and to continue to work closely with our local Practices.

If you need to speak to a Doctor when the Surgery is closed, please ring NHS on 111

Your call will be answered by a call handler who will ask for the patient’s name, address, telephone number and brief details of the problem, and pass this information to a Triage Nurse or Doctor.

The doctor on call may arrange to meet you at the designated centre (Princess Royal, Haywards Heath) or visit you at home if he or she feels it to be appropriate. Medical advice may also be given by a doctor or triage nurse over the telephone.
